How to update pivot table automatically?
Every time a pivot table changes, the pivot table recalculates the values of its measures and filters. To prevent this, you can use the automatic refresh option. With this option, pivot table refreshes its values automatically. It will refresh when any of the values change.
If you want to refresh the values only when a specific cell is changed, go to Cell Properties --> Validation and enter a validation. If you often add new rows or columns to your pivot table, then you’ll need to update the pivot table as the table will automatically update if you insert a new row or column, but it won’t update if you insert or remove data inside the existing rows and columns.

In order to automatically refresh PivotTable when data changes, you need to set the “Refresh on Pivot Table Update” property. Go to PivotTable properties and click the “Refresh on Pivot Table Update” option. This will refresh the pivot table automatically when the source data changes. This step is quite simple. First, select the Pivot Table you want to update. Then, under PivotTable Tools, click the Connections tab. Right click on any of the connections in the Connections list and choose Refresh All.
