Things I should have said book sales?
First of all, be grateful. Most authors struggle to sell their books and to make a living as an author. If you are a self-published author, you’re likely to struggle the most. You’re your own editor, your own marketing and promotion person, your own book designer, and your own cover designer.
I highly recommend reading books by other self-published authors to see how they handle their books and their marketing. Look at their websites. Look at their social media The most important thing I should have said is to have a plan for the book money.
Don’t wait until you have a lot of books in your online store and expect to make a lot of money. A book sales plan takes time. It takes consistency and commitment. If you want to make money from book sales, you have to put in the work from the beginning.
Things I should have said ebook book sales?
I’m so glad you asked! In an age of digital books, there are so many ways to sell books. There’s Amazon, of course, with their Kindle Store and their many other subsidiaries. There’s iTunes and Google, the two biggest book stores in the world. There’s Barnes & Noble and the other big brick-and-mortar chains.
And there are plenty of smaller booksellers as well. Ebook book sales have been consistently growing since the rise of e-books in the early 2000’s, and the growth is expected to continue. In fact, the 2020 Book Industry Outlook report predicts that the growth of the ebook market will continue for the next five years.
ebooks are an easy and inexpensive way to sell your book without the hassle of shipping, stocking, or marketing. Plus, there is no printing cost, and you can sell your book in any format you want.
Things I should have said book to buy?
Now that you’ve read a few of the book lists, you might want to add some of your favorite books to a shopping list for your book-buying binges, or you might be interested in checking out some of the books that are mentioned in this post.
But even if you aren’t planning on buying any books right away, looking at what other people are interested in can help you figure out what books you might like yourself. A book can be a great gift for just about anyone. Whether you're shopping for your parents, grandparents, or even that special teen in your life, books make for thoughtful and unique presents.
You can always put a book on a wish list, but if you want to get some extra special attention, consider picking up a book that they might enjoy.
Things I should have said book reviews?
So many people overlook book reviews as a way to promote their work, but they’re absolutely one of the most effective ways to gain new customers. Book reviews don’t just show potential buyers that the book is a good read. They also help the author refine their writing and sell more books.
It’s an easy way to get your book in front of the eyes of people who might be interested in it. You can also get online book reviews. Of course, not everyone is going to like your book. A good book review can help you find an audience. A bad one can make you feel discouraged, and you don’t want to give up on your book too soon.
Things I should have said email book sales?
Email book sales are great! However, they do take a little more work on your part. You have to build a list of contacts, build some trust, and then promote your book. If you’re not used to doing a lot of email marketing, I suggest setting up a book marketing campaign on Facebook instead. The biggest mistake I made when starting my book marketing campaign was not consistently sending out my book to my list. I did send out a single email to my list when my book was first published but I never sent out another email until I promoted my book on social media. That’s right, I let over six months pass without sending out any book marketing emails. This is definitely something you do not want to do! Book marketing emails are an incredibly effective way to grow your email list and drive sales
